On Saturday, Mrs. M rolled the big _ _ (think I was going to say?) and despite a near derailment by the Beach Boys, I was able to get some of your closest friends in Dallas together for a surprise party/dinner. 

She was able to get her first cookie cake (an American original) and enjoyed some great Thai food at a local restaurant.

Russ picked up the cake and Pam was nice enough to get the balloons!

I’m finally sitting at my house, at my desk, watching my bunnies in the yard, uh doing my work.

I loved going back to Morgantown last week to see my grandmother and to catch up with some old friends.  But, I did miss actually seeing my house for those three days when Infosys says its okay to be at home. 

If you were listening in, you know that last week was a success even if she who must not be named did make a total ass of herself, yet again.  Rather than a horcrux or Avada Kedavra curse, I figure a little more chocolate and some bad decision making given ones age should sort the situation out in due course - so all is good.

I liked the audio-blogging, especially when on the go.  Long trips provide little time to find an Internet connection but 12 hours in a car does provide some talk time. 

It’s time to cut the grass … hmm… maybe a new audio blog - Al on grass.  Wait …

Happy birthday little guy!

Well the old odometer has rolled another year.  It’s good to be getting older - the alternative is a bummer.
