On Thursday, I celebrated my first year in England. What a busy year it was — marriage, moving, new job, and some other things made 2003-2004 very special and life changing.
No longer intimidated by international work, public transport, or a different culture this next year is for “getting down to business.” Application to business school, completing the fundraising development at Hearing Concern, and continuing to enjoy England and time with Alissa. She and I already voted this year to be the year of continuity.
Another area of interest and development is that of ABigPond.Com. A side hobby that costs $40 per year isn’t too bad. Currently sitting at 40 visitors per month – yahoo we ain’t — but it is mine and the writing is enjoyable. The personal journal is great and helps me keep track of thoughts but the Money for Nothing blog is where the real value for this page is. Taking the experiences, insights, and education I’m receiving when developing this fundraising programme and putting them on the web. Even if it only helps one person design a revenue generating programme for charity is enough.
One year and going strong -
Here’s to the next one.
